"Yellow Brick Road"

"Yellow Brick Road"
8"x6" oil on Raymar panel

I've been reading "Painting Abstracts" by Rolina van Vliet. I've had it for about a year, and my first impressions were mixed, because I only liked a few of the paintings. Perhaps I wasn't ready, but now the concepts intrigue me. This is a combination of several of the exercises. For those who prefer more representational work, the trees are about to pop, and I'll be outside shortly, painting New England.

Upcoming workshops:
-- That I am teaching: Daily Painting and Blogging in Damariscotta, ME, April 30 - May 1, 2011
-- That I am hosting: Liz Wiltzen Plein Air Painting in South Freeport, ME, Aug. 19-21, 2011

  2. I love the colors in this one Bob. Maybe it's my love of pink. I'm not into abstracts much but I painted one in my youth. Thanks for sharing!
