There is a small red cottage near our house that has the most wonderful lupine field. I am anticipating a bit with this painting (6"X6" oil), since the lupines are not out yet this spring. I am looking forward to that. Done with a flat brush as opposed to the filbert that I usually use.
Bobbie, I have a painting that is so similar to this, that I can't help but love it, too. It's fresh and vibrant. We like color the same way.
ReplyDeleteMy friend said to me about my painting, "it's very Fairfield Porter." which, I had't noticed up until then, for some of the harsh criticism I was giving the painting!
I almost tossed it into the burn pile.
