I enjoyed painting the gouache melon slices so much that I wanted to give it a try in oils. This one (6"X6" oil) was done from the gouache painting. It certainly took longer (about twice the time), but I like the result just as much.

ReplyDeleteI love this! The orange slices of cantaloupe, edged in green rind, against the cool blue background, create a delicious image of summer.
